These are few common signs of cashmere allergy. If you persistently use it, ignoring rashes and itching, it may lead to severe rashes over the skin.

Consult doctor or allergist for treatment. As a quick remedy, massage the affected area with natural oils like olive oil or coconut oil. These home available oils will sooth itching and can reduce the inflammation.

It’s a misconception that cashmere and wool allergy are identical. Commonly, wool is made of merino sheep and not cashmere.

Prevention and Diagnosis

Wash your sweater regularly to avoid moth and other infectious germs. Discuss with your doctor and avoid such cloth if necessary. Sweater made of acrylic is similarly soft and doesn’t trigger allergy.

Your skin will be subjected to skin prick test to confirm allergen and accordingly medication will be given.

Skin deserves to be pampered and well maintained. Chemical filled soaps and creams stripe natural oils from skin and irritate it, so beauty experts recommend applying natural essential oil regularly before going to bed.

To prevent cashmere allergy, you must either avoid the cloth or frequently vacuum clean your closet.
